Forget About Houses, Buy Your Own City!
April 1st, 2012
There is an old saying that still rings true to this very day. Everything has a price. It does not matter what or where it is. Every single thing on this great blue planet has a price. If someone owns something there is a magic number that will make them hand it over.
Real estate is no different, but many people did not know that you can actually buy a city. Just think how that would look on your real estate portfolio. Imagine the power that owning your own city could leverage. You could build a multitude of houses and rent them, lease them or even sell them all, but you would still be the owner of the city. If you think that buying your own city is a great idea, then keep reading.
Here is a great example of buying a city.
A very small town by the name of Buford is being publicly auctioned on April 5th 2012. The city is located on ten acres of land, and it even has its very own zip code. There is one house, one convenience store, and a post office. Are you ready to take control of this great little city? The city actually produces an income. That is something that is very hard to ignore. Just imagine owning your very own zip code. That sounds pretty impressive to say the least.
The current population is a massive two people. This city is located in Wyoming and the bidding is going to start at $100,000. That is less than most houses are going for these days. Be ready to pay more, because that is just the starting price of this auction.
This is just one small example of a town for sale. There are plenty of other towns that are for sale all over the United States.
Here is another prime example.
There is another small town for sale. It is called Garryowen, and it is located in Montana. It has a small museum, an unmarked tomb, a post office, and a vast history that is all documented in thousands of letters and other types of media. The town also has its own historical battlefield.
The entire town consists of only seven acres of land that is surrounded by trees. In the distance is the Little Big Horn river. Imagine owning this beautiful land, and all of the history that is associated with it.
