Wild and Crazy Home Features

We have all heard of walk in closets, roman bathtubs, and double showers, but there are some even bigger and better home features that you may have never seen or heard of. These special features will raise more than the roof on a house for sale, they will also raise the price quite a bit. Here are some of the more extreme house features of the world.

How about a room with a view?
There are some houses that have wonderful views, but how would you like to have a house that has an underwater view of the pool. You could secretly watch people swimming by like fish in some giant aquarium. One particular home in California has a pool that extends underneath a raised portion of the house, and of course the raised portion of the house has some really great views of the pool.

How is this for a skylight?
Skylights are a great way to bring a lot of natural light into a house, and they are not all that unusual, but imagine having your very own in home observatory. They do exist for homes, and there is an actual company that manufactures domes for your home. These great observatories give you a look at the stars as they move above you.

Wrap around porches.
Wrap around porches are a great way to sit outside and relax with some fresh air blowing through your hair, but imagine a wrap around porch that overlooks the beautiful waters of the Pacific Ocean. Along the West coast of some California beaches these types of wrap around porches are about as normal as a microwave in the kitchen. Do you think that this type of wrap around porch would raise the price of a house that is currently for sale?

Try a bottle of your very own wine.
There are plenty of houses on the market that have wine cellars. These are nice additions for wine lovers, but imagine having your very own vineyard. There are houses out there that have small to medium sized vineyards that are located on the property. You could start bottling your own brand of wine, or you could keep it all for yourself.

Secret passages?
Some homes come equipped with their very own secret passages. Who is that hiding behind the painting watching everyone in the house? You could use these secret passages to get from one part of the house to another, or you could peer through the eyes of a painting and watch your guests.

These are just some of the more extreme home features that you will find in houses today.
